PAMELA HILLIARD OWENS

A former college instructor and English teacher, Pam has an extensive background in producing various types of copy and documents for her business clients worldwide. Her goal is to help her clients make the most positive and polished presentation of their ideas. Her clientele includes graduate and post-graduate students, individuals and businesses from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the U.K, and ten other countries. Pam has many effective working relationships with clients for whom English is a second language, and her facility with Internet-based communications and collaboration platforms ensures easy access for clients regardless of location. In addition to her extensive work as a teacher, instructor and curriculum consultant, Pam has a long corporate background in technology sales and marketing upon which she can draw. Pam writes on a wide range of topics and approaches each project as an opportunity to research, explore and learn. Pam earned her BS/Special Education Certification and MA/Reading Specialist Certification from Eastern Michigan University and she is also member of The Board of Governors and the Chair of the Publications Committee of the Editorial Freelancers Association.
KEITH A. OWENS

Keith Owens is a noted freelance writer, columnist, editor and journalist whose work has been featured in the Detroit Free Press, the Detroit Metro Times, The Michigan Chronicle, the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel and other newspapers, each of which he has worked for full-time as a staff member except for the Metro Times. For three years, from 1993-1996, his column was also syndicated nationally by Universal Press Syndicate. His two-part, 11,000 word article for Detroit’s Metro Times on the history of the blues in Detroit entitled “Boogie Chillun” earned recognition from the Alternative Newsweekly Awards and also from the Detroit chapter of the Society for Professional Journalists. Keith’s most recent work, “The Mayonnaise Murders”, a humorous science fiction/fantasy murder mystery, has just been published by Detroit Ink Publishing, a company he co-founded in 2012 with his wife, Pamela Hilliard Owens, and two other partners. Keith draws on his experience in communications, public relations, media relations and marketing to help his clients educate, entertain and motivate audiences. Keith earned a BA in English from Colorado College.
In July 2015, Keith was appointed as Senior Editor of the Detroit-based Michigan Chronicle, which has been in continuous circulation in Detroit, Michigan since 1936.
